Nestled in the heart of Paris, La Retraite Du Père Claude is a charming French restaurant that captures the essence of traditional cuisine with a modern twist. Located at 89 Rue de la Convention, 75015 Paris, France, this cozy spot is perfect for anyone seeking an authentic and delightful dining experience in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods of the city. Whether you're a local or a visitor, the warm and welcoming atmosphere at La Retraite Du Père Claude will make you feel right at home.

The restaurant offers a variety of exquisite dishes, but some stand out as absolute must-tries. The Crayfish's Tails & Home-Smoked Salmon Salad is a refreshing starter that combines delicate seafood flavors with a rich, smoky touch. It's the perfect way to kick off your meal. If you're in the mood for something rich and indulgent, the Terrine Maison Et Tête Et Langue de Veau is a deliciously savory option that highlights the restaurant's mastery of traditional French charcuterie. Another standout dish is the Tortellini Pan Fried Foie Gras With Truffle Cream Sauce, a decadent blend of creamy, buttery foie gras and truffle sauce that melts in your mouth with each bite.

For dessert, Crème Brûlée is always a crowd favorite. Its crispy caramelized top gives way to a velvety custard beneath, making it the ideal sweet ending to your meal. What customers say?

“ A few days ago, this little cute coffee shop caught my attention while I was passing by. I went today and great coffee. I was not wrong because Norway. It’s obvious from the ambiance. ”

“ Cute little coffee shop with great iced lattes — a must during the summer. Nowhere to sit and work, but there are a few seats to look out at the cars driving by. ”

- Erik Deckers -

“ Amazing pour over, super cool vibe and great conversation. Chatted with the Co-owner Russ about their coffee sourcing process and the charities they support with every sale. Great addition to the Winter Park coffee scene, want to try everything they're roasting, I'm already a superfan. ”

- Ian Duffy -

“ Enjoyed this little coffee shop - love the cozy Norwegian "hygge" vibes in this place. Solid coffee with a nice selection of food offerings. I'm a vegetarian and noticed several veg-friendly food options. I always get the iced latte anywhere I go. The employees were also friendly and knowledgeable. Would totally come back! ”

“ KOS (pronounced Koosh) is a small Nordic inspired coffee shop with a charming interior design and a mix of their own merch and local artist @sjstudioshop earrings. I love that they have rotating seasonal flavors!! Although I was hesitant to try the purple ube the barista made it in hot latte form sweetened to my liking with the cute foam heart on top! We had the pleasure to meet the owner and understand the challenges small businesses face. One con (which is not the shop's fault) is the small parking lot to the side of the plaza strip and the awkwardness of getting in/out when the opening is only wide enough to fit 1 car. Overall we give it 5/5 coffee beans!! ”

“ We took their espresso making class, great in-depth learning experience, super helpful and Carson and his team were extremely welcoming and excited to teach us. Definitely recommend if you want to learn how to brew the perfect espresso at home. ”

- Michael Wallace -

“ Great cafe which is inspired by Norwegian design principles and concepts. They have many drink options and many creative drink options on the menu and really decent espresso - which is what I ordered. I had great conversations with the barista as well which is ALWAYS a great experience to have! They have a rotating coffee option, which you can also buy by the bag. The machine used by them is really fascinating specially if you are into great coffee and/or precision and/or tech. There exists a small parking lot on the eastern side of the plaza where you can park, however there are a very limited number of spots available there, and you should be careful as it’s small and so is the entrance/exit. The parking is right by the UPS Store and Korean Restaurant on the Eastern side. ”

“ As decorated as Winter Park is with it’s boutiques and restaurants, KOS elevates the relevance and importance of craft coffee with a dash of the Nordic lifestyle. Owners, Bridgette and Russ couldn’t be more symphathic souls. This is my new go to. ”
